Simsbury had already won 15 in a row and they went ahead and made it 16 on Friday. They came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 3-2 W against the Farmington River Hawks. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Trojans have posted since November 5, 2024.

Simsbury took Farmington into a fifth set where they got it done with a four-point win. The match finished with set scores of 25-22, 23-25, 16-25, 25-19, 15-11.

Emily Elias was nothing short of spectacular: she had 24 digs and four aces. That's the most digs she has posted since back in September.

Elias wasn't the only good servers: Simsbury was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 12 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least five aces in four consecutive contests.

Simsbury's win bumped their record up to 17-1. As for Farmington, with the loss, they broke their five-match winning streak and moved their record to 11-6.
