Baseball Recap: St. Mary Starts Season with Loss on the Road

St. Mary had to hit the road for their first game and it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They fell just short of the Crittenden County Rockets by a score of 13-12 on Monday. The Vikings were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Rockets apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in May of 2022.

Jake Morris made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored three runs while going 1-for-2.

Looking ahead, St. Mary will head out to face off against Murray at 5:15 p.m. on Thursday. As for Crittenden County, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Madisonville-North Hopkins at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.
