Midlothian Heritage has enjoyed the comforts of home their last three games, but now they'll head out on the road. A feisty cat fight will be fought when Jaguars dukes it out withthe Corsicana Tigers at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Midlothian Heritage will be strutting in after a victory while Corsicana will be coming in after a loss.
Last Friday, Midlothian Heritage made easy work of Kaufman and carried off a 3-0 win.
Midlothian Heritage's not only won, but also showed off some consistency: keeping Kaufman between 20 and 21 points across their sets. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 25-21, 25-20.
Among those leading the charge was Maddie Parrish, who had ten digs. She is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had ten or more in the last three games she's played dating back to last season.
Meanwhile, Corsicana was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They fell 3-1 to Ennis.
Corsicana was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made Ennis work for it, especially in the first set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 27-25, 24-26, 25-11, 25-21.
The victory got Midlothian Heritage back to even at 19-19. As for Corsicana, their loss dropped their record down to 11-21.
Midlothian Heritage took their win against Corsicana when the teams last played back in September by a conclusive 3-0. The rematch might be a little tougher for Midlothian Heritage since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
