Volleyball Recap: Plainview's Undefeated Season over After Six Games

Plainview was the 2-1 winner over Boaz when they last played one another on Saturday, but their luck changed this time around. The Bears took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Pirates on Saturday. The match marked the first time this year in which the Bears were not able to get on the board.

Faith Odom paced Plainview's offense, picking up eight kills. Odom got some help from Jada Gray and her nine assists. Finally, Libby Henderson kept Plainview's defense grounded, leading the team with four blocks.

Having lost for the first time this season, Plainview fell to 5-1. As for Boaz, the win got them back to even at 2-2.

Looking ahead, Plainview is taking a road trip to challenge Geraldine at 4:30 p.m. on September 2. As for Boaz, they will take on Fort Payne at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Wildcats will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something the Pirates surely won't give up without a fight.
