Baseball Recap: Cedar Grove Gets the Win

It may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Cedar Grove ultimately got the result they hoped for on Saturday. They won by a run and slipped past the Pompton Lakes Cardinals 6-5. That's two games straight that the Panthers have won by just one run.

Cedar Grove has started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it. They've had to fight for that success though, as they only beat their opponents by an average of one runs across that stretch. As for Pompton Lakes, their record now sits at 3-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Cedar Grove will take on Belleville at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Pompton Lakes, they will face off against Hawthorne at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
