A Season-Best Effort from Mekhi Simmons Leads Bishop Eustace Prep over Wildwood

On Friday, Bishop Eustace Prep got the W thanks in part to Mekhi Simmons playing the best football he has all season. Simmons rushed for 216 yards and two touchdowns on only 14 carries. The performance marked the most rushing yards he has had since back in August. His longest rush was for an incredible 78 yards.

Wildwood's probably not too fond of Simmons given he always seems to get the better of them. When Simmons last faced the Warriors back in September of 2023, he rushed for 129 yards and a touchdown.

Roman Faiola Delivers Best Performance of Season

Bishop Eustace Prep was led to victory by Roman Faiola, who turned in his biggest game of the season on Friday. Faiola rushed for 46 yards and a touchdown, and also threw for 111 yards and a touchdown on only seven passes. The performance marked the most rushing yards he has had since back in September of 2023.

For the season, Faiola has thrown 2 touchdowns while averaging 57.9 passing yards per game. That doesn't tell the whole story though: at this point last year, he was only averaging 4.86 passer rating per game. This year he is averaging 100.34 passer rating.

Delano Mann Makes It Three for Bishop Eustace Prep

Another Bishop Eustace Prep player making an appearance on this list is Delano Mann. He picked up 51 receiving yards and a touchdown. He showed off some serious burst, connecting on a big catch for 51 yards.

This season, Mann has caught 2 touchdowns while averaging 34.8 receiving yards per game.

KIPP Cooper Norcross was sadly handed a defeat on Friday, but Jykhai Boyd did his best to prevent it. Despite the loss, Boyd was still balling out as he picked up 52 receiving yards and a touchdown. He also deserves a shoutout for his performance on D, forcing a fumble and making three total tackles.

Boyd and KIPP Cooper Norcross will square off against Bishop Eustace Prep at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Boyd will face off against Delano Mann, the Crusaders' star wideout. With so much talent on the field, fans are surely in for an exciting game. The only thing left to see is who brings home the W.
