Softball Recap: Rio Hondo Sets Scoring Season-High Against Grulla

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Rio Hondo). They came out on top against the Grulla Gators by a score of 13-10 on Tuesday. The win continues a trend for the Bobcats in their matchups with the Gators: they've now won four in a row.

Danielle Rocha was a standout: she went 4-for-5 with one home run and two RBI. That home run was her first of the season. Madison Lopez was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two triples, two RBI, and one run.

Rio Hondo's victory bumped their record up to 2-4. As for Grulla, they are on a 12-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Rio Hondo will face off against Lopez at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday. As for Grulla, they are taking a road trip to challenge Hidalgo at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday.
