Red Bank came tearing into Saturday's game with four straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 4.8 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the South-Doyle Cherokees, sneaking past 6-4. The Lions have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Cherokees, too.

The team relied heavily on Jack Barkeloo, who went 2-for-4 with four stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. Red Bank is 9-2 when Barkeloo posts two or more stolen bases, but 13-14 otherwise.

Red Bank pushed their record up to 22-16 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. The road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.7 runs on average over those games. As for South-Doyle, the defeat snapped their winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 15-17-1 record.

As of now, neither Red Bank nor the Cherokees have any future games scheduled.
