Basketball Game Preview: Columbus Falcons vs. Forest Hill Patriots

The Columbus Falcons will face off against the Forest Hill Patriots at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Forest Hill took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Columbus, who comes in off a win.

Columbus is looking to give their home crowd another W after opening their season at home on Tuesday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Meridian 75-36. The victory continues a trend for the Falcons in their matchups with the Wildcats: they've now won three in a row.

Meanwhile, Forest Hill was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat dating back to last season. They took a blow against Ridgeland, falling 64-24. The Patriots were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 49-18.

Columbus beat Forest Hill 49-42 in their previous matchup back in January of 2018. One of the biggest obstacles trying to stand in the way of that victory was the Patriots' Ladarius Marshall, who almost dropped a double-double with 20 points and nine boards.
