Basketball Recap: Englewood Takes a Loss

Englewood was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They were five points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 38-33 heartbreaker at the hands of the Stanton Blue Devils. The Rams lost against the Blue Devils in their previous head to head back in February of 2024, too, but the margin this time around was much closer than the 63-19 score last time.

Englewood's loss dropped their record down to 3-12. As for Stanton, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-12.

Englewood didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 41-24 defeat against Parker on the 29th. Stanton has also already played their next contest, a 56-24 loss against Episcopal School of Jacksonville on the 29th.
