With a playoff win on the line, Governor Mifflin rose to the challenge on Monday. They beat the Perkiomen Valley Vikings by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 6-1. The victory was nothing new for the Mustangs as they're now sitting on ten straight.

Governor Mifflin's win was their ninth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 26-1. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.0 run on average over those games. As for Perkiomen Valley, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 17-9.

Coming up, Governor Mifflin will square off against Liberty at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday. The Mustangs' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Hurricanes have averaged an impressive 7.3 runs per game this season. Perkiomen Valley does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
