Soccer Game Preview: West Middlesex vs. Sharpsville

West Middlesex is 0-10 against Sharpsville since October of 2018 but things could change on Tuesday. The Big Reds will look to defend their home pitch against the Blue Devils at 7:00 p.m. West Middlesex has given up an average of 9 goals per game this season, but Tuesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Saturday just wasn't the day for West Middlesex's offense. They lost 12-0 to Wilmington on Saturday. While losing is never fun, West Middlesex can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania soccer rankings (they are ranked 464th, while Wilmington are ranked 168th).

Meanwhile, Sharpsville didn't have quite enough to beat Maplewood on Monday and fell 2-1.

Sharpsville's loss dropped their record down to 2-9. As for West Middlesex, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-12-1.

West Middlesex suffered a grim 10-2 defeat to Sharpsville in their previous meeting two weeks ago. That matchup was all but decided by halftime, at which point the Big Reds were down 5-2.
