Volleyball Recap: Canal Winchester Indians vs. Newark Wildcats
Canal Winchester was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They came up short against the Newark Wildcats, falling 3-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Wildcats this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 on September 2nd.
The match finished with set scores of 25-16, 25-21, 25-20.
Amiya Ramsey paced Canal Winchester's offense, picking up 12 kills. Ramsey got some help from Taylor Campbell and her 28 assists. Camryn Goode and Ella Armintrout kept things locked in from the service line: the pair finished with two aces apiece.
Leading Newark to victory were Brooke Spangler and Reese Riley. Spangler had ten digs and two assists, while Riley had seven digs and four assists. That's the most assists Spangler has posted over her last eight matchups.
