Baseball Recap: Reed Takes a Loss

Saturday just wasn't the day for Reed's offense. They fell just short of the McQueen Lancers by a score of 1-0 on Saturday. The Raiders were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Lancers apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in May of 2024.

Chase Spencer spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered a run (which was unearned) on five hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Reed saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Bailey Moss, who went 2-for-3 with one double. That double was Moss' first of the season.

Reed now has a losing record of 10-11. As for McQueen, they now have a winning record of 11-10-1.

Reed didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, a 12-4 defeat against Galena on the 15th. As for McQueen, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 5-3 loss against Reno on the 15th.
