Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Whiteoak). They never let the Clay Panthers get on the board and left with a 17-0 victory on Tuesday. The high-scoring effort was just what the Wildcats needed considering they were shut out in their previous contest.

Big J made a splash no matter where he played. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out six over five innings pitched. J was also big at the plate, going 3-for-4 with one home run, five RBI, and two runs. He has become a key player for Whiteoak: the team is 2-1 when he posts at least two runs, but 4-6 otherwise.

In other batting news, Christian Hite was a standout: he went 4-for-5 with four runs, three doubles, and three RBI. Those three doubles gave him a new career-high. Zander Rodes was another key player, getting on base in five of his six plate appearances with two stolen bases, three runs, and three RBI.

Whiteoak always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .636. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

The win snapped Whiteoak's losing streak at five games and leaves them with a 6-7 record. As for Clay, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 13-10 record this season.

Whiteoak didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 5-1 victory against Miller on the 31st. As for Clay, they have also already played their next contest, a 4-0 loss against Southern on the 29th.
