Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Whiteoak). They never let the Clay Panthers get on the board and left with a 17-0 victory on Tuesday. The high-scoring effort was just what the Wildcats needed considering they were shut out in their previous contest.
Big J made a splash no matter where he played. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out six over five innings pitched. J was also big at the plate, going 3-for-4 with one home run, five RBI, and two runs. He has become a key player for Whiteoak: the team is 2-1 when he posts at least two runs, but 4-6 otherwise.
In other batting news, Christian Hite was a standout: he went 4-for-5 with four runs, three doubles, and three RBI. Those three doubles gave him a new career-high.
