Basketball Recap: Merrimack's Victory on Thursday Extends Winning Streak to Three

Merrimack put another one in the bag on Thursday to keep their perfect season alive. They came within four points of losing the streak, but they secured a 72-68 W against the Spaulding Red Raiders. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Tomahawks also won the last time the pair played back in December of 2024.

Merrimack's victory bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Spaulding, they now have a losing record of 1-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Merrimack will wrap up 2025 with a road trip to face off against Leominster at 2:00 p.m. on the 27th. As for Spaulding, they will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Windham at 6:30 p.m. on January 2, 2026.
