Basketball Recap: Faustina Academy Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Faustina Academy can now relate to. They came up short against the Immanuel Christian Warriors on Friday, falling 52-28. The matchup marked the Falcons' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Immanuel Christian's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Alan Valenzuela led the charge by going 6-for-10 on his way to 15 points and five rebounds. Thanks to that strong game, Valenzuela now owns an excellent 45.3% field goal percentage. Noah Ayala was another key player, dropping a double-double with 12 points and 13 boards.

Faustina Academy's loss dropped their record down to 13-3. As for Immanuel Christian, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten games, which provided a massive bump to their 19-13 record this season.
