The Maynard Tigers are taking a road trip to face off against the West Boylston Lions at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. Maynard is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 9.7 runs per game this season.

Maynard fell victim to Advanced Math & Science Academy and their airtight pitching crew on Thursday. They came up short against the Eagles, falling 7-0. The loss continues a trend for the Tigers in their meetings with the Eagles: they've now lost five in a row.

West Boylston came out on top against Murdock on Wednesday thanks in part to the team's impressive seven-run fourth inning. The Lions were the clear victors by a 14-2 margin over the Blue Devils. The Lions haven't had any issues with the Blue Devils recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive win against them.

West Boylston's victory bumped their record up to 6-2. As for Maynard, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-2.

Maynard couldn't quite get it done against West Boylston in their previous meeting back in April as they fell 7-4. Can the Tigers avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
