Basketball Recap: Saint Gertrude Comes Up Short

If Saint Gertrude was feeling good fresh off their 53-23 takedown of Saint John Paul the Great Catholic last Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Saint Gertrude Gators fell 50-38 to the Trinity Episcopal Titans on Wednesday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Titans this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 63-61 back in January.

Saint Gertrude's loss dropped their record down to 14-11. As for Trinity Episcopal, their victory was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 14-8.

Coincidentally, Saint Gertrude and Trinity Episcopal will both be playing Collegiate the next time they take the court. Trinity Episcopal will head out to face Collegiate at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, while Saint Gertrude will host them on Monday.
