Football Recap: St. Anne's-Belfield Comes Up Short

Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, St. Anne's-Belfield couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They were beaten by the North Cross Raiders 54-22 on Saturday. The loss continues a trend for the Saints in their meetings with the Raiders: they've now lost four in a row.

Despite the defeat, St. Anne's-Belfield had strong showings from Haden Morris, who threw for 265 yards and one TD, and Chase Miller, who picked up 149 receiving yards and one touchdown.

St. Anne's-Belfield's loss dropped their record down to 9-2. As for North Cross, they pushed their record up to 10-2 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home.

As of now, neither St. Anne's-Belfield nor the Raiders have any future games scheduled.
