Football Game Preview: Kaycee Buckaroos vs. Meeteetse Longhorns + How To Watch

The Kaycee Buckaroos are headed away from home for the first time to face off against the Meeteetse Longhorns at 2:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Kaycee played against Burlington back in September and lost via forfeit.

Meeteetse is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Wyoming's top teams: Burlington, who was ranked fourth at the time (Meeteetse was ranked 12th). The Longhorns lost 48-22 to the Huskies on Friday. The Longhorns have struggled against the Huskies recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.

Kaycee will have to contain Jacob Moody as he made an impact in Meeteetse's last game. He rushed for 87 yards and two touchdowns, and also picked up 66 receiving yards and one TD. Moody has been hot recently, having posted two or more rushing touchdowns the last four times he's played.

Even if they lost, Meeteetse's defensive line still kept up the pressure with three sacks. In fact, those sacks all came courtesy of defensive juggernaut Clayton Yoder.

Kaycee's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Meeteetse, they now have a losing record of 2-3.

Everything came up roses for Kaycee against Meeteetse in their previous matchup back in October of 2024, as the team secured a 54-12 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Buckaroos since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
