Basketball Recap: Karmello Walker's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Browne over Shadow Ridge

Browne lost against Shadow Ridge back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Bruins fell just short of the Stallions by a score of 57-55. The Bruins have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Several Bruins players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Karmello Walker, who dropped a double-double with 23 points and 17 rebounds. Walker has been hot recently, having posted 18 or more points the last four times he's played. Tony Bayigamba was another key player, going 7-for-16 en route to 18 points along with eight boards and three blocks.

Browne's loss dropped their record down to 3-6. As for Shadow Ridge, their win ended a four-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 3-3.

Coming up, Browne will host Tolleson at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Shadow Ridge, they will venture away from home to face off against Skyline at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Stallions' defense better be ready for this one: the Coyotes have averaged an impressive 53.3 points per game this season.
