Basketball Recap: Greensburg Salem Comes Up Short

On Friday, the Greensburg Salem Golden Lions lost to the Elizabeth Forward Warriors on the road by a 63-44 margin. While losing is never fun, the Golden Lions can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 453rd, while the Warriors are ranked 147th).

This is the second loss in a row for Greensburg Salem and nudges their season record down to 1-5. As for Elizabeth Forward, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 5-3.

Greensburg Salem will have a chance to turn things around after yesterday's loss Southmoreland at 9:45 a.m. on Saturday after yesterday's loss. Elizabeth Forward and Norwin will round out the year against one another at at 8:00 p.m. on December 27th.
