Softball Recap: Archbishop Mcnicholas Snaps Four-Game Streak of Losses at Home

Archbishop McNicholas took a ten-run defeat the last time they faced off against Batavia, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Rockets came out on top in a nail-biter against the Bulldogs on Thursday, sneaking past 12-11. With that win, the Rockets brought their scoring average up to 6.4 runs per game.

The team relied heavily on Megan Richardson, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, five RBI, and two runs. Those five RBI gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Grace Reuss, who went 2-for-4 with three runs and two RBI.

Archbishop McNicholas' victory ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 9-10. As for Batavia, they have been struggling recently as they've lost ten of their last 11 matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-13 record this season.

As of now, neither Archbishop McNicholas nor Batavia have any future games scheduled.
