Recap: Meigs Marauders vs. Nelsonville-York Buckeyes

The Meigs Marauders won against the Nelsonville-York Buckeyes on Tuesday with 52 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Friday. Meigs skirted past Nelsonville-York 52-49. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Meigs.

When it comes to explaining why Nelsonville-York lost, one person who can't be blamed is Keagan Swope. Despite the final result, he scored 17 points along with eight rebounds and six steals. The matchup was Swope's fifth in a row with at least ten points. Cameron Sullivan was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with five rebounds.

Meigs now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Nelsonville-York, their defeat ended a five-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 3-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Meigs will be home for the holidays to greet Wellston at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Wellston will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Ohio Rankings (they are ranked 762nd, while Meigs is ranked 314th). Nelsonville-York won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Trimble at 7:30 p.m. on December 16th. Trimble will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.
