Volleyball Recap: West Branch Has No Trouble Against Curwensville

West Branch won the last time they faced Curwensville and things went their way on Thursday too. The Warriors were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Golden Tide. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Warriors.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: West Branch took every set by at least 13 points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-6, 25-12, 25-8.

Haley Woodling paced West Branch's offense, picking up seven kills. Woodling got some help from Kyla Kephart and her 15 assists. Kephart was also solid from the service line: she led the team with six aces.

West Branch's win bumped their record up to 4-1-2. As for Curwensville, they dropped their record down to 0-2 with the defeat, which was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Looking ahead, West Branch will head out to challenge Claysburg-Kimmel at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Curwensville, they will face off against Moshannon Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
