Baseball Recap: Lanier Comes Up Short

Lanier fell victim to Jefferson and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They lost 17-0 to the Mustangs. The Voks haven't had much luck with the Mustangs recently, as the team has come up short the last eight times they've met.

Lanier's loss dropped their record down to 1-11-1. As for Jefferson, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 11-11.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lanier will head out to face off against Edison at 6:00 p.m. on the 16th. As for Jefferson, they will venture away from home to take on Highlands at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. The Owls have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 10.88 runs per game on average), something the Mustangs will no doubt try to take advantage of.
