Softball Recap: Aurora Christian Comes Up Short

If Aurora Christian was feeling good fresh off their 12-6 takedown of Harvest Christian Academy on Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Eagles lost 15-1 to the Marian Central Catholic Hurricanes on Wednesday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Hurricanes this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 11-1 on Monday.

Aurora Christian saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Vaila Johnson, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one stolen base and one double.

Aurora Christian's loss dropped their record down to 5-12. As for Marian Central Catholic, the win got them back to even at 9-9.

Coming up, Aurora Christian will look to defend their home field on Thursday against St. Edward at 4:30 p.m. As for Marian Central Catholic, they will challenge Timothy Christian at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Hurricanes' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Trojans have averaged an impressive 9.5 runs per game this season.
