Baseball Game Preview: Wapahani Raiders vs. Centerville Bulldogs

The Wapahani Raiders will head out to face off against the Centerville Bulldogs at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. One thing working in Wapahani's favor is that they have posted at least ten runs in their last three contests.

Wapahani is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They put the hurt on Randolph Southern with a sharp 18-1 victory on Tuesday. Considering the Raiders have won four games by more than seven runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Eli Andrews was a standout: he went a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs, three RBI, and one triple. He has become a key player for Wapahani: the team is undefeated when he posts at least two runs, but 0-3 otherwise. Quentine James was another key player, going a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs, one triple, and two RBI.

Wapahani always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .632. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Randolph Southern only posted an OBP of .278.

Meanwhile, Centerville and Jay County finished up on equal footing with a 0-0 tie on Saturday.

Wapahani's win ended a seven-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 4-3. Centerville's tie makes their record 1-4-2 this season.

Wapahani couldn't quite get it done against Centerville when the teams last played back in April of 2024 as they fell 10-5. Can the Raiders avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
