Baseball Game Preview: Mid-Pacific Institute Owls vs. Pac-Five Wolfpack

Mid-Pacific Institute is a perfect 10-0 against Pac-Five since March of 2018 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Saturday. The Mid-Pacific Institute Owls will host the Pac-Five Wolfpack at 3:00 p.m. Mid-Pacific Institute's hitters haven't had much luck over their past five matchups, but Saturday's contest will give them a chance to turn things around.

Mid-Pacific Institute fell victim to Kamehameha Kapalama and their airtight pitching crew on Thursday. They took a 4-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Warriors. The game marked the first time this season in which the Owls were not able to get on the board.

Meanwhile, Pac-Five also failed to score in their most recent game. They lost 6-0 to Punahou on Thursday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Wolfpack have suffered since April 6, 2024.

Pac-Five's defeat was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 2-3. As for Mid-Pacific Institute, their loss dropped their record down to 1-3-1.
