Basketball Recap: Kettle Falls Takes a Loss

The Kettle Falls Bulldogs lost 47-24 to the Freeman Scotties on Thursday.

Freeman was led to victory by Rylee Russell and Logan Pecht. Russell went 8-for-15 on her way to 19 points and three steals, while Pecht dropped a double-double with 11 points and 11 rebounds. Thanks to that strong game, Pecht now owns an excellent 45.1% field goal percentage. The team also got some help courtesy of Taylee Phelps, who posted six points along with six boards and five assists.

Kettle Falls' defeat dropped their record down to 13-8. As for Freeman, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 17-4.

Kettle Falls has already played their next game, a 61-14 win against Chewelah on the 15th. As for Freeman, they will square off against Northwest Christian School at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Northwest Christian School knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past seven matches -- so hopefully Freeman likes a good challenge.
