Cholla is 4-0 against Rio Rico since December of 2014 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Wednesday. The Cholla Chargers will be playing in front of their home fans against the Rio Rico Hawks at 7:00 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Cholla has four straight victories, Rio Rico has three straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the court.

Last Monday, Cholla didn't have too much trouble with Douglas as they won 79-64.

Meanwhile, Rio Rico took a blow against Sahuarita on Monday, falling 75-46.

Cholla will have to keep a close watch on Santiago Merino and Francisco Alday, a pair of players who had a big impact on Rio Rico's prior game. Merino posted 17 points and six boards, while Alday went 6 of 10 en route to 13 points and six rebounds. That was a full 37% of Rio Rico's points, marking the third time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. Ivan Arvizu was another key player, putting up five points and three steals.

Rio Rico's defeat dropped their record down to 2-19. As for Cholla, their win bumped their record up to 13-3.

Everything came up roses for Cholla against Rio Rico in their previous meeting two weeks ago, as the squad secured a 77-29 victory. Will Cholla repeat their success, or does Rio Rico have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
