Softball Recap: East Marion Comes Up Short

East Marion was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 16-3 to the Tylertown Chiefs. The Eagles were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Chiefs apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in February of 2024.

East Marion's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Tylertown, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-5.

Coincidentally, East Marion and Tylertown will both be playing McComb the next time they take the field. Tylertown will head out to face McComb at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, while East Marion will play them later in the day, at 9:00 a.m.
