Baseball Recap: Bellingham Comes Up Short

Bellingham lost against Sedro-Woolley back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Bayhawks took a 6-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Cubs.

Bellingham saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Alden Scott, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-3. Scott has been hot, having posted at least one stolen base the last eight times he's played. Joe Harward also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Bellingham's defeat dropped their record down to 5-7. As for Sedro-Woolley, their win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 5-6.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Bellingham will venture away from home to face off against Sehome at 4:45 p.m. on Wednesday. The Mariners' pitching crew has only allowed 4.1 runs per game this season, so the Bayhawks' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Sedro-Woolley, they will head out on the road to challenge Lynden at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Cubs are facing the Lions at the right time seeing as the Lions are stuck on a three-game losing streak.
