Proviso East posted their closest win since May 2, 2024 on Saturday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 victory over the Chicago Christian Knights. This was payback for the Pirates, who suffered a 2-0 loss the last time these two teams met.

Despite the loss, Chicago Christian still got an impressive performance from Ryan Vanden Bosch, who had 21 digs. Vanden Bosch is on a roll when it comes to digs, as he's now had 11 or more in each of the last five games he's played.

The win made it two in a row for Proviso East and bumps their season record up to 5-9. As for Chicago Christian, their defeat dropped their record down to 13-11.

Proviso East has already played their next matchup, a 2-0 loss against Downers Grove South on the 6th. As for Chicago Christian, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 2-1 victory against Rich Township on the 5th.
