Volleyball Recap: Overland Christian Falls to Heartland in First Game of Season

Overland Christian kicked off their season on the road on Tuesday and hit a couple of potholes. They lost 3-0 to the Heartland Mustangs. Sadly, the defeat continues a streak the team started last season, making it four in a row.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-16, 25-11, 25-20.

Heartland can attribute much of their success to Sarah Archibald, who had seven aces and three digs. The dominant performance also gave Archibald a new career-high in assists (four).

Coincidentally, Overland Christian and Heartland will both be playing Plaza Heights Christian Academy the next time they take the court. The Mustangs will head out to face the Lions at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, while the Eagle will head out to face them at 6:00 p.m. on the 28th.
