Recap: Bonita Springs Bullsharks vs. Island Coast Gators
This season hasn't been kind to the Bonita Springs Bullsharks, who are still winless after their 12th game. They were beaten by Island Coast 92-48 on Thursday. Bonita Springs lost against Island Coast in their previous head to head back in February of 2021, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 61-52 score last time.
Island Coast's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Terrell Hill, who dropped a triple-double on 18 points, 12 assists, and 11 steals. That's the first time this season that Hill scored 15 or more points. Izaiah Bacchus was another key contributor, scoring 28 points.
Bonita Springs' loss was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 0-12. As for Island Coast, their victory ended a six-game drought on the road and puts them at 4-7.
Bonita Springs won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Aubrey Rogers at 11:30 a.m. on December 22nd. Aubrey Rogers is coming into the contest on a three-game losing streak. Island Coast will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Estero at 4:30 p.m. on January 5, 2024.
