Football Recap: Cooper City Takes a Loss

Thursday just wasn't the day for Cooper City's offense. They took a 12-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Cypress Bay Lightning on Thursday. The Cowboys just can't catch a break and have now endured seven defeats in a row.

Julissa Arias threw for 57 yards on ten of 25 attempts.

Cooper City's loss dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Cypress Bay, they pushed their record up to 4-1 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Cooper City will challenge Stoneman Douglas at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Cypress Bay, they will square off against South Broward at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The two teams have allowed few points on average, (Cypress Bay 6.4, South Broward 13) so any points scored will be well earned.
