Creek Valley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They had to suffer through a 61-17 loss at the hands of the South Platte Blue Knights. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Blue Knights this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 66-19 back in January.

Several Storm players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Catherine Tilghman, who posted eight points and five boards.

Leading South Platte to victory were Zaerihya Doncheske and Jayla Paulsen. Doncheske went 9-for-10 en route to 20 points and five steals, while Paulsen went 6-for-14 on her way to 16 points in addition to seven rebounds and three steals. The dominant performance also gave Doncheske a new career-high in shooting accuracy (90%). Madisen Adams was another key player, putting up four points and seven steals.

Creek Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 2-15. As for South Platte, their win was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 17-6.

Creek Valley has already played their next matchup, a 50-41 victory against Minatare on the 17th. As for South Platte, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 38-27 win against Sutherland on the 19th.
