Twin Lakes was handed a heart-breaking two-run loss in their last game, but they sure didn't let that happen against Lafayette Central Catholic on Tuesday. The Indians blew past the Knights 16-1. The victory continues a trend for the Indians in their matchups with the Knights: they've now won three in a row.

Myley Spriggs spent all six innings played on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on three hits and racked up six Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Twin Lakes got a massive performance out of Macee Rice, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, three runs, and two RBI. That's the most hits Rice has posted over her last 12 matchups. Another player making a difference was Miya Clerget, who went 3-for-4 with three RBI and two runs.

Twin Lakes was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .464. They are 4-1 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

Twin Lakes picked up their first road win, bumping their record up to 7-12. As for Lafayette Central Catholic, they are on a ten-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-13.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Twin Lakes will welcome West Lafayette at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Red Devils will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something the Indians surely won't give up without a fight. As for Lafayette Central Catholic, they will square off against Clinton Prairie at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Knights' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Gophers have averaged an impressive 9.9 runs per game this season.
