Softball Recap: Southport Takes a Loss

Southport fell victim to Franklin Central and their airtight pitching crew on Thursday. They lost 14-0 to the Flashes. The Cardinals haven't had much luck with the Flashes recently, as the team has come up short the last six times they've met.

Southport now has a losing record of 5-6. As for Franklin Central, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-6 record this season.

Southport is taking a road trip to square off against Mooresville at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Franklin Central, they will welcome Cascade at 12:45 p.m. on Saturday.
