Volleyball Recap: Ironton Takes a Loss

Ironton lost against Chesapeake back in September and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Fighting Tigers came up short against the Panthers, falling 3-0.

The final score came out to 25-16, 25-11, 25-14.

Bre Scarberry was the offensive standout of the match as she had ten digs and one assist.

Ironton has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-10 record this season. As for Chesapeake, they have been performing well recently as they've won ten of their last 12 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-5 record this season.

After both having extra time off, Ironton and Southeastern will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court against one another at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Chesapeake, they will face off against Dawson-Bryant at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
