Basketball Recap: Pass Christian Comes Up Short

Pass Christian lost against Moss Point last Tuesday and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Pass Christian Pirates lost to the Moss Point Tigers at home by a 35-20 margin. While losing is never fun, the Pirates can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Mississippi basketball rankings (they are ranked 233rd, while the Tigers are ranked 85th).

Moss Point's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Jordyn Ford, who went 5 for 11 en route to 14 points. Ford is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last six games she's played. Landyn Johnson was another key player, putting up ten points.

Pass Christian's defeat was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 3-16. As for Moss Point, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 14-8 record this season.

Pass Christian didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 62-37 loss against Picayune on the 18th. As for Moss Point, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 41-26 defeat against Terry on the 18th.
