Baseball Recap: Cuba/Spoon River Valley Comes Up Short

Cuba/Spoon River Valley managed to slip by Canton the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Wildcats lost 15-1 to the Little Giants on Tuesday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Wildcats have suffered since March 29th.

This is the second loss in a row for Cuba/Spoon River Valley and nudges their season record down to 7-6. As for Canton, they moved to 6-6 with that win, which also ended their six-game losing streak.

Coming up, Cuba/Spoon River Valley will take on Carrollton at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Canton, they will face off against East Peoria at 4:15 p.m. on Wednesday. The Raiders' pitching crew has only allowed 3.1 runs per game this season, so the Little Giants' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
