Baldwin piles up the points against Royal Valley

The Baldwin Bulldogs can now show off seven landslide victories after their most recent matchup on Friday. They breezed by Royal Valley at home to the tune of 69-28. While fans of Baldwin might be used to big wins, the 41-point margin marked the team's biggest victory yet this season.

Baldwin found their leader in underclassman Cooper Carr, who scored 16 points along with eight rebounds and six steals. Carr hasn't dropped below 16 points for three straight games. Talan Torrez was another key contributor, scoring 19 points.

Baldwin pushed their record up to 13-3 with that win, which was their fourth straight at home. As for Royal Valley, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-14-1.

Baldwin will head out on the road to square off against Tonganoxie at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Tonganoxie will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Kansas Rankings (they are ranked 209th, while Baldwin is ranked 62nd). As for Royal Valley, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Nemaha Central. Nemaha Centralpresents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Royal Valley in Kansas (Nemaha Central is ranked 113th, while Royal Valley is ranked 306th).
