 After four games on the road, Gatlinburg-Pittman is heading back home. They will take on the Chuckey-Doak Black Knights at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday. Hopefully Gatlinburg-Pittman is not getting complacent considering they own a much higher rank  in Tennessee (they are ranked second, while Chuckey-Doak is ranked 231st).
 After soaring to a 53-point  win in their last game, Gatlinburg-Pittman came back down to earth  on Tuesday. They fell just short of Alcoa by a score of  53-50. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest  defeat Gatlinburg-Pittman has suffered  against Alcoa since January 6, 2023.
 Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the best came from  Maddy Newman, who  scored 19 points along with two  blocks. She has been hot recently, having posted 16 or more points the last 24 times she's  played. The team also got some help courtesy of  Nya Burns, who  scored 13 points.
 Meanwhile, Chuckey-Doak waltzed into their matchup  last Monday with two straight wins  but they left with three. They walked away with  a   48-35  victory over Johnson County.
 Gatlinburg-Pittman's loss  ended a eight-game streak of away wins  and  brought them to 29-3. As for Chuckey-Doak, they are  on a roll lately: they've  won six of their last eight matchups,  which provided a massive bump to their 13-13 record  this season.
 Everything came up roses for Gatlinburg-Pittman against Chuckey-Doak in their previous matchup  back in February of 2023 as the  team secured a  79-49 victory.
