The Laney Buccaneers just played last night, but they'll still head out to face the Holly Springs Golden Hawks at 4:30 p.m. on December 29th. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Laney comes in on nine and Holly Springs on five.

Laney's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Hezron Driver, who scored seven points along with eight rebounds. Jaquan Bowen was another key contributor, scoring 14 points along with six rebounds.
Meanwhile, Holly Springs scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Thursday. They enjoyed a cozy 74-59 win over Ashley. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Laney's win bumped their record up to 9-0. As for Holly Springs, their victory bumped their record up to 9-1.
Laney strolled past Holly Springs in their previous meeting back in February of 2020 by a score of 53-39. The rematch might be a little tougher for Laney since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
