Football Recap: Lonoke Drops Season-High Score on Forrest City

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Lonoke). They secured a 40-36 W over the Forrest City Mustangs on Friday. That's more bragging rights for the Jackrabbits, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

When it comes to explaining why Forrest City lost, don't look at Kevin Young. Despite the final result, he rushed for 228 yards and three TDs while picking up 10.4 yards per carry, and also threw for 79 yards and one touchdown on only seven passes. Young also deserves a shoutout for his performance on D, making three total tackles and defending one pass.

The win got Lonoke back to even at 2-2. As for Forrest City, their defeat was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 1-3.
