Softball Game Preview: Chestnut Ridge Lions vs. Hollidaysburg Golden Tigers

The Chestnut Ridge Lions will head out to challenge the Hollidaysburg Golden Tigers at 3:30 p.m. on Monday. The last four games Chestnut Ridge has played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

Having struggled with three defeats in a row, Chestnut Ridge turned things around against Windber on Tuesday. The two teams finished up on equal footing with a 3-3 tie.

Meanwhile, Hollidaysburg was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They lost 10-0 to Bellefonte.

Hollidaysburg's defeat dropped their record down to 2-13. Chestnut Ridge's tie gives them a new season record of 7-5-1.

Chestnut Ridge took their victory against Hollidaysburg in their previous matchup back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 12-2 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Lions since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
