Soccer Recap: Socastee Comes Up Short

Socastee and Myrtle Beach squared off in some playoff action on Saturday, but Socastee had to settle for second. They lost 4-1 to the Seahawks. The matchup was a 1-1 toss-up at halftime, but Socastee couldn't quite close it out.

Their goal came courtesy of Jonathan McGraw, which was the first he's scored this season.

Socastee has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost ten of their last 13 matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-13 record this season. As for Myrtle Beach, the victory (which was their 13th in a row) raised their record to 18-2.

Socastee does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Myrtle Beach, they will face off against St. James at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
